Offering Thai with a twist and ambience to burn, Limelight Café & Restaurant is a little star on North Sydney’s dining scene. Featuring shaded bench seating outside, inside it’s relaxed and intimate, lowlit at night by candles and red lanterns. Breakfasts are mostly western style, while lunch and dinner offer classic and more unusual Thai dishes. Depending on what’s in season, you could start with the Ayers Rock (parcels of crab meat, minced prawn, chicken and water chestnut encased in sheets of deep fried bean curd, served with orange dipping sauce), followed by the Hua Plee, a fresh, fragrant salad of banana flower, king prawns, shredded coconut, lime leaves, mint, lemongrass, coconut cream, chilli jam dressing & crushed peanuts.
