Welcome to The Fishmonger’s Wife, Winner of Australia’s Best Fish n Chips 2008 & 2009. We are a specialty fish and chip café, known both for our original recipes for marinated seafood and freshly prepared salads, and also the high quality of our traditional fish and chips. The Fishmonger’s Wife provides both a sit down dining experience in our air-conditioned Licensed Café and a takeaway service.
Our emphasis is a range of top quality fresh Australian filleted fish (e.g. Snapper, Atlantic Salmon, Barramundi).
We offer a variety of cooking approaches, with Japanese Bread Crumbs, French Beer Batter or Grilling, emphasising a clean low fat version of seafood.
