  You can tell this once was a charmer. We picked up a room at a discounted price and I'm glad we did. We were on the 3rd level with a view of a long neglected balcony garden, well mainly just weeds, litter and a longstanding umbrella tree. The decor in the room was outdated at best, dark and small but reasonably clean. The buffet breakfast was very satisfying and the location of the hotel handy to everything. Once upon a time you can tell this was the place to be, I'd love to see it receive the update or restoration it's longing for.
